Sharing Environments with Your Team
Share a CloudCLI Cloud environment with organization members on the Team plan: what teammates can do, how to share and revoke, and how access ends automatically.
On the Team plan, you can give teammates on-demand access to one of your environments. Sharing is per environment and owner-controlled: your other environments stay private, and a shared environment never stops being yours.
What a share grants
Teammates you share with can:
- Open the environment in the browser, exactly like you do
- Start and stop it
- View the SSH credentials and connect over SSH
They cannot delete the environment, change its settings, regenerate its SSH password, or manage sharing. Compute usage from a shared environment counts toward the owner's plan, not the teammate's.
Share an environment
- Open the dashboard and find the environment's card.
- Click Share in the card's action row.
- Pick specific organization members, or switch on Share with everyone at your organization.
Org-wide sharing includes people who join your organization later. The member picker only lists active members of your organization.
Shared environments appear for your teammates in a Shared with you section on their dashboard, with live status updates.
Revoke access
Open the same Share dialog and remove a member, or switch off org-wide sharing. Revocation usually takes effect within seconds for new page loads and SSH connections; someone already inside a live session keeps it until that session ends.
Access also ends automatically when:
- a member leaves or is removed from the organization
- your organization's Team plan lapses (shares reactivate if you upgrade again)
- the environment is deleted
Requirements
- An organization on the Team plan
- The teammate must be an active member of the same organization
- Only the environment's owner can share it
FAQ
Do shared environments cost extra? No. A shared environment is still one environment on the owner's plan. Concurrent-environment limits and usage hours belong to the owner.
Can an organization admin see my environments? Admins can see a read-only list of the organization's environments, but they cannot open, start, or SSH into one unless you share it with them.
