Start a coding task. Close your laptop. Come back to finished code.

CloudCLI runs Claude Code, Cursor CLI and Codex in persistent cloud environments. Kick off a task from anywhere, walk away, and your agent keeps working around the clock.

The best AI coding workflow isn’t faster typing. It’s walking away.

The developers getting the most out of Claude Code aren't the ones watching it type. They're the ones who hand it a task, put their phone down, and come back to a working implementation. That only works if the session keeps running after you close your laptop — which means it has to run in the cloud, not on your machine.

Give your agent a task. Come back to finished code.

No babysitting. No keeping your laptop awake. No losing context when you step away.

01

Define the task

Write a prompt, open a ticket in Linear or Jira, or trigger via API. Your cloud environment spins up with the full codebase loaded and Claude Code ready to start.

02

Let the agent work

Claude Code runs in an isolated cloud container with real filesystem, git access and terminal. It reads files, writes code, runs tests, commits changes. You don't need to be there.

03

Review and ship

Get notified when the agent finishes or needs input. Open the session on your phone to review, or SSH in from VS Code to inspect the changes and open a PR.

Connect coding tasks to your existing workflow tools

CloudCLI's API lets you trigger agent sessions programmatically from n8n, Zapier, Linear, Jira or any tool that can make an HTTP request. A bug ticket gets assigned, a session starts, Claude Code works on the fix, and a PR lands in your repo — without anyone manually opening a terminal. You set the workflow up once and agents handle the repetitive implementation work automatically.

More ways to build with AI agents

Background agents work best when you can check in from anywhere. Learn how to run Claude Code remotely so you can monitor and unblock sessions from your phone without a laptop in sight. And if you want your whole team running agents in parallel, shared cloud environments for teams make it easy to onboard everyone from the same base config.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about running coding agents in the background

Sessions persist as long as needed. There's no forced timeout on active work. If Claude Code finishes a task and goes idle, the environment is paused but not deleted — you can always resume it.

You can check on any session from your phone via the CloudCLI mobile UI. If Claude Code is waiting for a decision, you can respond from your phone and the session continues.

Yes. Each environment is isolated. You can run Claude Code on a bug fix, Cursor CLI on a feature branch, and Codex on a refactor — all at the same time, all in separate containers.

Yes. CloudCLI has a REST API. You can trigger a session start, pass in a task description and repo context, and get back a session URL — all via HTTP. We have example n8n workflows to make this easy.

Yes. Each session runs in an isolated container on our infrastructure. Your code and credentials never leave your environment. The container is destroyed after the session ends.

No. The agent runs in the cloud regardless of what you have open. You can close every browser tab, lock your phone, and the session continues running.

Your agents work. You sleep. Code ships.
